Remedial Massage

This style of massage uses many varied techniques, deep & shallow, strong & light to treat a wide variety of both chronic & acute conditions, by tracking the problem back to its root cause as well as dealing with the presenting symptoms.
Conditions that can be successfully treated include:
- Back pain
- Neck pain
- Tension headaches
- Stress
- Arthritis
- Sciatica
- Muscle spasms & cramps
- Plantar fasciitis
- Golfers / tennis elbow
- DOMS (delayed onset of muscle soreness)
For acute / recent injuries: Remedial Massage is best commenced 72 hours following the incident after rest & the application of ice to reduce the effects of inflammation & possible associated swelling.
For chronic / long-term conditions: Ideally this style of massage should be performed on a regular basis to promote function & return to full mobility, thereby preventing the condition becoming problematic. Initially treatments may be weekly then gradually spaced further & further apart, until maintenance therapy is all that is required.
