Got a frozen shoulder? Niel-Asher Technique to the rescue!!!

Shoulders CAN be a sticky problem!

Either they hurt when they move or they simply do not move at all! How do you know if you are suffering from frozen shoulder syndrome (or to give it its correct medical teminology, Adhesive Capsulitis.)
• 2-5% of the general population can suffer from this condition at some point in their lives (10-20% in the case of diabetic patients).
• Females are more frequently affected than males, especially between the ages of 40 & 60.
• The non-dominant hand is more likely to be affected.
• Often there is no apparent cause however “secondary” frozen shoulder sometimes occurs following injuries such as rotator cuff tears, fracture, falling onto an outstretched hand & of course surgery.
• Pain is felt at night & often radiates down the outside of the affected arm, with sufferers unable to lie on that side.
• Difficulty occurs with activities such as taking off a jumper, reaching the back pocket of your trousers, brushing / shampooing your hair, changing gear while driving, doing up your bra (ladies) & washing under the opposite armpit.

How long do I have to suffer?

Untreated Adhesive Capsulitis can last up to 2 years, from the initial symptoms while the shoulder is freezing, frozen when it appears to be completely stuck & eventually thawing as pain begins to subside & movement returns. There is a proven alternative route to surgery & multiple trips to the GP ……..

Niel-Asher Technique can shorten the cycle.

Caught early in the initial stages, this advanced Trigger Point therapy has been known the stop Frozen Shoulder developing altogether. At worst, the cycle speeds up so you are pain free & out the other side of this most unpleasant experience quicker than if it is left unattended, even if currently you are frozen or slowly thawing.
